 Thomas A. Kohn
Mr. Kohn has worked as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper since 1970 and has been a licensed Land Surveyor and survey department manager since 1977 with various firms in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Prior to that, he obtained a degree in Land Surveying Technologies that, combined with extensive practical experience both in the office and in the field, has provided him with the skills required to manage complex survey projects in three offices throughout the Southeast. Currently, Mr. Kohn oversees the technical operations of a 62-person (18 survey crews) woman-owned company. The workload includes design, right-of-way, hydrographic, boundary, topographic, construction surveys and subdivision design services for various cities and counties throughout Middle Tennessee, Georgia and Central Florida.
Mr. Kohn has experience working with municipalities, governmental entities and both commercial and residential developments. Mr. Kohn has remained an active member of the Council of Professional Surveyors (COPS), a division of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) throughout his career. He has also been an active member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society for the past 16 years. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Leading Edge Land Services.
